Okay so instead of going the route of trying to find a new seat for that chair, I came across an ad for an antique bentwood rocking chair and I bought it. It has caning on the seat and back. The ad said antique but I have to say I don't think it is. I asked if she knew how old the chair was and she said she wasn't sure. Then when we went to look at it she said "I don't have the receipt anymore"
BUT it looks nice, it's comfortable, and I think it would go well in the cabin. Plus I think they look neat
I hope my mom likes it!
