I have a butterfly with a design on my lower back that I got when I was 18. I had finished my first year of college, and survived my first year living on my own
A few years later I had learned some life lessons, got caught up with bad people, made decisions based on other people in my life, and learned I need to just look out for myself sometimes, so I wanted to get something that symbolized ME. My birthday is 06/06, my last name has 6 letters, and I grew up where I would spend nights outside staring at the northern lights dancing in the sky, so I drew a design with six big stars, six little stars, on a background of six wavy lines representing the northern lights. It goes from just behind my right hip, to the front of my thigh about halfway down
My dad got a tattoo of something that's pretty important to him too... Canadian hockey
