I know, I am very fortunate to get to travel some with my job. The problem comes when I have to travel and Gary is not doing well. In fact, I was supposed to attend this conference last year (it was in San Diego) and he ended up having tests for a lung blood clot so I didn't go. It turned out he did not have the blood clot - so that was good, but it still changed my travel plans.
I don't mind traveling, but it is more complicated if I am leaving Gary or even taking him with me.
Just the same, I know how lucky I am to get to go to these beautiful places - even if I didn't realize how pretty it was the last time I went

!
Wish us luck getting there. I refuse to get there after dark, because of the drive out to the island has very complicated directions to get there, so we are flying Southwest into Ft. Meyers. We have to fly to Orlando and then only have 30 minutes to make our connection to Ft. Meyers. I hope the walk to the gate is not too far because Gary can't walk far or fast. Some airports have carts to take you to your gate, but some only have wheel chairs and Gary hasn't yet agreed to be pushed in the w/c. Hopefully, the plane will be early and we will make it to the gate in plenty of time.
