It turned out he did not have the blood clot - so that was good, but it still changed my travel plans.

I don't mind traveling, but it is more complicated if I am leaving Gary or even taking him with me.

Just the same, I know how lucky I am to get to go to these beautiful places - even if I didn't realize how pretty it was the last time I went !

Wish us luck getting there. I refuse to get there after dark, because of the drive out to the island has very complicated directions to get there, so we are flying Southwest into Ft. Meyers. We have to fly to Orlando and then only have 30 minutes to make our connection to Ft. Meyers. I hope the walk to the gate is not too far because Gary can't walk far or fast. Some airports have carts to take you to your gate, but some only have wheel chairs and Gary hasn't yet agreed to be pushed in the w/c. Hopefully, the plane will be early and we will make it to the gate in plenty of time.
I hope they have carts for Gary. I flew into Ft. Meyers a few years ago and then took a long cab ride to a ferry, which I missed, to get out to the island I was going to. I was alone, and only had myself to take care of, which is so much easier. I grabbed the next ferry, and enjoyed a lovely lunch.

Can you call the Orlando airport and check the distance between planes, or maybe arrange for a cart to meet you at the incoming flight? I hope it works out well, and that both of you do get to enjoy this beautiful island.
