What's new - I'm still packing!
I went to the doctor with Gary - I haven't mentioned that he is having GREAT difficulty breathing with any activity. This is just like what happened when we went to Arkansas and he ended up in the hospital for 5 days. The difference now is that we know it is likely his asthma. He went to see he heart failure nurse practitioner yesterday to have his heart checked and it is fine. He had a little extra fluid in his body, so she gave him some IV Lasix (water medicine to make him pee) and he lost 3 lbs by this morning.
He had a routine appt with his asthma doctor this morning so he got a round of prednisone (steroids) which fixed his shortness of breath in October when he was in the hospital. I knew when he spent every day last week out of doors with the floor/fence contractors in the wind and dust at the new house, that this might happen, and sure enough it did. He's back to having to wear portable oxygen to do any sort of activity at all!
He'll be fine (I think) but won't be any help in packing the garage. So, my granddaughter and daughter are going to come and help me with it tomorrow. Thankfully, we don't have to move everything right now - only the big stuff (table saw, huge tool chests, etc). We just have to get things boxed up and moved around so that they can get to the big saws, tools, chests and my freezer. We can do that without too much trouble (I hope). Gary can sit in a chair and supervise
