I fail to see why this is even an issue. My IQ is over 120... my sons is even higher. What do we care? I can still put him in his place and work circles around him simply because I'm more experienced, motivated, and have better work ethics!
I truly believe a high IQ can be as much a disability as a gift if the person who has it isn't willing to put it to good use. I know too many with high IQ's who have always drifted through easily in school, so never learned how to really put forth any effort. A high IQ is NO guarantee of success and as with most things, is only what you're willing to make of it.
I personally would rather hire a highly motivated person with average IQ than a genius with no motivation.
