I'm sure glad that you didn't have any problems because on YT I've read of so many who had big problems bringing them home that early and that small.
We had a lab and we brought her home at 7 weeks old. My husband had a training book and that was the age that was recommended.

Zoe was checked out by two vets, one the day before we picked her up, and another the day after. Both said that she was extremely healthy. Our vet is really surprised that she is so healthy being so tiny. Most of his tiny yorkie patients have some type of health issue. Our breeder does not live too far from us also, and we stayed in contact for a while and she is still or groomer and is always there when we have a question.
Mandy, your lab is beautiful!!! If we ever move to the country, we may consider a lab although, I want to travel via RV when we retire, so the yorkies are probably more practical. People tease us that we already have the little dogs all we need is an RV.
Rebecca, did you get Lamar, or whoever he ends up being, today????
