I've had a stress test. What they do is to hook you up with wires to do an EKG while you're on a treadmill. They start you out slow, and monitor you as you speed up and make the incline steeper. If they see any irregularities or you seem too "out of breath" they will end the test right away.

When I had mine, there were 2 people in the room with me; a technician and a cardiac nurse. They're very careful not to push you harder than you can safely endure.

Some have blood pressure drops when on their feet for a long period. This can make you light headed. I hope that's all it is.
