That's wonderful! Quitting is such a hard thing to do....I know, b/c I used to smoke. I was never a super-heavy smoker, but I smoked all thru college and quit right before I got married. It wasn't easy but I'm SOOOOOOO GLAD I did. Now, I'm quite disgusted at myself that I ever did smoke.

My husband's grandfather has basically smoked "all" of his life (since his twenties), and this past Thanksgiving, decided to give it up - he's 80 years old and said he wanted to quit "cold turkey" on turkey day, lol!

He surely did quit, and he sends us email updates from a site he signed up with saying how many cigarettes he hasn't smoked, how much money he's saved, and how many days he's "added" onto his life. It's really neat - and it's super cute b/c he's so proud of himself!
