I have a pair of autographed basketball shoes from Shaquille O'Neal from when he played at LSU. They were special made for him (size 19) and after trying them on, he didn't like the fit and was going to throw them away. Hubby's brothers were managers of the basketball team at that time and asked him to autograph them as they wanted to give them to us as a joke - we still have them and they are quite the conversational piece
My youngest is a HUGE Ole Miss fan and 2 years ago, all he wanted for Christmas was an autographed Eli Manning football. Hubby's dad is friends with Archie (they play golf together once a month) so we got a football to him to get Eli's signature. When we got the ball back 4 months later (it ended up being a late birthday present), it was autographed by Peyton, Eli, and Archie
Taylor was SO excited!!! It is in a display case in his room and he dares any of his friends to touch it! And last but not least, we have Taylor Tankersley's autograph. For those who may not know him, he is from where we live, attended my alma matar high school, pitched for Bama (Roll Tide) and was drafted by the Florida Marlins - he got the call to the pros this year and in his first game pitching, he pitched a scoreless inning of relief - autograph is on a game schedule from Bama.
