Gracie, Max and I are back from the vet, had our dinner and everybody is resting.

The vet was pleased with her health-wise. She does have ear mites - $65 for a one-time treatment that will get rid of them, so they said I did it because Max would have caught them for sure. The other option was a 10 day treatment, etc.

She also has some puppy dermatitis - nothing that's transmissible. We got antibiotics. Her eyes were also very teary. The vet said her hair was poking her in the eyes, causing then tearing, so she trimmed it.

All in all, she's absolutely fine, give or take a few very minor, easily treatable things.

She peed on the paper 3 times so far! I have her leashed to me and haven't seen her peeing anywhere else. She did poop in her ex-pen on the flooring last night, but...

At this point, poor Max is sulking in the bedroom. He has given up trying to fit in. I hope he doesn't sulk too long. He's such a good boy. I think he doesnt know what happened to his little life as my only child, my baby boy. He's still my baby boy, but I think at this point I'll leave them to get used to each other. She really likes him. I have been going in to visit him and love him up every half hour or so. She starts crying as soon as I leave the room. She's a noisy little thing. Hope that doesn't last too long - or that she's just a yippy little dog.

I'm too tired to take a lot of pix. It was an 8 hour round trip, plus we all have to get used to the change....so, more tomorrow and pictures too.

Oh - she fell asleep first on my arm, then on my neck, then I moved her down to my chest. How sweet! Max was never that way, although he sure loves me. If I dare move while he's sleeping, he's gone! Gracie's a little love bug.

Love,

Judy, Max and Gracie
