It is a rough one - because you may have to board your dogs, but I agree with Sheryl.
Whenever I find myself resenting somebody's actions, I don't do whatever it is anymore. The trick is to do it as nicely as possible if you want to maintain the friendship, and because she works for you.
I hope she comes back soon!
