I bought a kit (named Rachel) years ago that had the pattern for her body and dress and came with the head, hands and feet. I had made her up into a little country doll with a blue dress. That Christmas I kept looking and looking for an angel to go on top of my tree and I just couldn't find what I was looking for so I ended up making her a new dress and fashioned her wings out of wide lace and wire. My husband made a little stand for her to sit on and it also comes up to make her halo. We've had her on the tree for years and she sits on a shelf when it's not Christmas. Rachel's a very special part of our Christmas.
