Katie got accepted today into a BA program for Criminal Justice. Her goal is to work with teens. Because she's been diagnosed an alcoholic and recently quit due to her pregnancy, she might qualify for grants that would help considerably in paying for her education!
Since she found out she's pregnant, she's finally growing up! She's tended to several things she'd left hanging that she really needed to take care of such as an issue with the IRS from last year... an unpaid medical bill... and getting started on her education.
I'm SO relieved!
She wants very much to be able to take good care of her baby, so is starting by taking care of herself.
Just had to share my joy and relief!
