Sadly, getting the rebate checks IS a VERY political issue. It's given out to make us think about how much wealthier we all are when republicans are in control... as opposed to democrats who spend it all on programs for the poor. LOL
It's a long running game... I can remember my Dad talking about it and he's been gone since 1991!
