Well the lesson went well. My teacher told me that I'm lucky I understand the notes because half the people he sees just can't wrap their heads around reading guitar notes. He gave me some simple exercises to practice, which I did tonight, and I've improved already
He did tell me I need new strings though, so I should get that done before next Monday's lesson.
I really love it so far!
