Someday, I'd like to have guineas. Thought we would be living where we could have some chickens and such when we retire, but now hubby says he likes the idea of living in a suburb of a large city where there are lots of cool golf courses. Guess I'll spend retirement in a golf cart with him rather than making soap and raising guineas.  Perhaps he'll change his mind.
He's good at planning something and then changing courses and going in an entirely different direction. (He's talked about chickens and maybe a couple of cows recently. This is what I mean.) I just hang on for the ride.

I hope your husband realizes it's your retirement too and there may be things you'd like to do. You could still live out where you could raise your animals and he could still go play golf. No this is not a beat up a husband thread, but there are quite a few women I know that changed their lives to fit their husbands retirement and now are not very happy.
