ROFL Diana, I am the official trim painter in the family. No one else seems to want to paint the stuff along the ceiling, moldings, windows, or staircases, so that's my job. So I sit on the floor or a stool and just putz along while they do the main part of the walls. I know better than to do the big repetitive arm motions as that stresses the heart, so this works well for all of us.
Have to laugh though... my daughter and her dh are both intelligent wonderful people, but neither has a clue when it comes to decorating, so I usually get the fun of picking colors and patterns and so on when they do a project. Now THAT I enjoy! They're just not creative types and neither seems to trust their own judgment to make decorating choices. My son-in-law had started painting the living room with some "mint green" paint their neighbor had given them... He had almost a whole wall done before he decided maybe it wasn't such a great color. So he called his DW in and she didn't like it either, so they called me downstairs to get my opinion and it was a bright LIME green that was just awful in that setting. So I got to go to the local Hardware store and find something more suitable and luckily they both really liked it. lol
