My thermometer said 90 at 7 this morning! YUCK! My two teenagers were soooo crabby this morning. I know it's the heat, and the end of school stress (finals start Thurs) so I just ignored it! Some of the schools have been having early dismissal because of the heat. Our district did not "because the schools are air conditioned". Well, this morning my kids tell me half the classrooms the AC isn't even working! And my son is doing golf in gym...yesterday they had them out in the middle of the baseball field hitting golf balls. I swear, this district is run my mindless morons. I used to be on the Board of Education (6 long years, 2 of them as President) and I saw this district from the inside. Heaven forbid someone THINK or make an adjustment to one of their "rules".
I told my kids if they have a class where there is no airconditioning (and most of Megan's there aren't even windows!), feel free to go to the office and tell them they have to sit there or they are going to pass out. If they won't let them stay, I told them to call me. I've always been a rebel
