I did what any sane person would do. I left it all yesterday and went out to get my hair done, and a manicure.

When I came home, I decided to just leave it. I may have it packed for me - I can get it done for a fairly decent price from one moving company. I really don't have that much to pack. I already did the books, videos, china, called the Salvation Army to come pick up stuff, and have a pile to give to my ex-husband.

I already cleaned out 15 years of stuff a couple of months ago. I must have gotten rid of 30 huge hefty bags of stuff, including those old boxes for appliances, etc. I no longer have.

I don't know why I can't pack. I can sit at the computer for hours, watch TV for hours, but sitting there and wrapping my knicknaks (sp?) in bubble wrap and arranging them in a box was not something I can do. Who knew I was packing disabled.

Anyway, thanks for your support! I'm going up to my daughter's on Thurs. and when I get back, I'll see how I feel about doing it myself. I may renew my energy.

I had the craziest (really nice) woman here yesterday. She organizes people's homes, offices, packing, etc., etc. She scoped out my stuff and told me that she figures 3 days at 4 hrs./day, for a total of about $550! If it takes more than 3 hours for 2 men to do it, I would be surprised. She clearly has her own agenda and is more into organizing than just wrap it and pack it. She was fun though.

I've also gotten moving estimates ranging from $800 to $3000. I'm not using either one!
