Thanks for the idea! I'll try to draw up some plans by the end of the week or on the weekend and try to meet with my advisor next week. I should be okay with the calculations, except I'm pretty new to weld calculations. So it's a good thing I'm dating an engineer who works for a big welding company, who is nice enough to offer to help me out
