We do not delete posts or threads, unless they break 4WomenTalk rules, and we have not deleted any posts lately...
The below explanation MAY explain what could be happening for some members.
If a thread is very popular, it can be that the posts get posted out of order initially. It's a bit hard to explain, but say, the last post was at 10am and it was post #1. Now, if you left the window open, and then posted at 10:15am, your post (on your screen) would show up right under the last post at 10am, as post #2. This is how the forum software works.
However, if someone else posted between 10am and 10:15am, say, at 10:05am, then their post would actually be post #2, and the post #2 on your screen would get bumped down to post #3, which is how it should be. However, unless you refresh the screen, or come to the thread later, you would NOT see the real post #2, from 10:05am.
However, that wouldn't explain why posts apparently get deleted. If you are writing a long post, just to be safe, we suggest you write it in a Word document or a text file, then copy the post over to 4WT and then post it, just in case you lose it. There really shouldn't be any "lost" posts, unless your Internet connection died or something while you posted. We would suggest that after you make a post, to refresh the page to see if it is indeed there. If after you refresh the page and your post is still there, it shouldn't ever get "lost".
