They're 3 yrs old, neither has been bred before, but both are fully (OFA/CERF) health tested. Hips excellent, elbows and eyes normal.
So I'm all set to breed them as soon as possible in spring. I'm in the process of doing DNA testing and the OFA/CERF testing on all my breeders since it puts me in a whole different category as a responsible breeder which makes my pups worth more, and gets me taken seriously by other quality breeders. It's the big step in going from hobby breeder to professional breeder.
What's really helped to inspire me to go to the next level is that I've connected with the original breeder of Labradoodles in Australia. She's amazing in how she is willing to mentor new breeders and was almost singlehandedly responsible for getting laradoodles recognized as a breed in OZ. I can't network with her and not want to do more and better. So I'm keeping very busy right now, but am having a ball learning from the BEST.
