So, I'm including a link to "Square Foot Gardening" a new approach to gardening that is easier and can be done with very little space. When you open the link the picture you see looks like flowers, but it can be done with vegetables and is being highly promoted by our organic gardening stores here in Austin. http://www.squarefootgardening.com/
My garden space will be about 5 foot deep (front to back) and 12 foot long. That really is a lot of space, but using the square foot gardening technique, it is supposed to be much easier than traditional gardening. We'll see!
We need to put in a new gate to the back yard, get the landscape timbers (it will be a raised bed) and the garden soil. Hopefully, we can get that done in the next 2-3 weeks as it will be planting time soon in central Texas.

Gayle, This is very interesting. May just have to give this a try. I can put it where some of the grass died last year. Keep us posted on your progress!!
