I'll have to check at home and see if I still have it and let you know the name of it. It might have been Watchers but not sure - I know it started out with this woman and her son and some old lady looking in the window at them - scared the boy - just couldn't get beyond that to read the rest of it.

I also like some of Patricia Cornwell's books. Only one of her's I struggled to get through (and I mean struggled!!!) was the one she wrote about Jack the Ripper. Here I thought it was going to be a mystery type along the lines of Jack the Ripper and his tyrade on England back in the late 1800's - but nooooo.....it was HER theories on who he could have been based on her investigation into it - can you say BORING?!?!?!?! Other than that, I've liked all the books by her I've read. They aren't the same "thriller" that Koontz writes, but they are suspense filled!
I can't think off the top of my head which book that would be, but I know it's not watchers. How long ago was it you tried to read it, was it a new book out at the time?
