I was in jail school and my hubby was in peace officer school. Me and a girl named Melissa went to a college bar called Toby's after school one night.

Low and behold, Doug and a friend of his walked in. Since Doug and Melissa were on the same shift, they came to sit with us. It was short and sweet. Out of the 4 of us there, 3 worked in the jail.

Next day, I inquired about Doug to Melissa and her immediate response was, "Doug doesn't go out with people he works with." Well, whatever, she had a crush on him and that was what he told her cause he wasn't interested.

Not a month after that, Doug and I started dating (when he got moved to my shift). The rest is history.
