-40 is not that bad when you have been in -60 (-76F) before
I remember one day walking to the bus stop when the windchill was -60, and my eyes were poking out of my scarf but it was so windy that my eyes were watering... but of course as soon as the tears form, they freeze! So my eyelashes were covered in ice. THAT was cold! But this is still pretty bad for March
It's expected in January, even through some of February, but it should be done by now!
Luckily now the only time I have to be outside is to start my car (even if I still had command start, it's too cold for it to work) and to walk from the parking lot to the office! I do not miss those days of walking across the university campus in this weather!
