Brendon and I were in Charleston, SC this weekend visiting with some friends. We came home this afternoon to find that sometime between when my Mom was here this morning and when we got home, there was a power surge that melted
through our surge protector from the inside out. The carpet underneath was charred as were the all the plugs. And this was a $200 top-of-the-line surge protector! Thank goodness it didn't catch anything on fire. The kittens were in the same room and the puppies were in the house. It is so scary to think how close we were to losing them.
I feel awful for leaving them.
