I LOVED Morehead!!! You are just a bit younger than my brother's sons who also grew up in Morehead, Greg and Doug Speer. I visited them when I was a teenager, but that was the last time I was in Morehead - maybe 1966 or so. It's funny you mentioned mountains. There was a mountain right behind their house in Morehead and that was the first time I'd seen mountains - I was fascinated by the mountains. I grew up in Oklahoma - can you say FLAT!
