I'm of the mind that most of us will work in several different fields before we're through, so if something interests you, give it a try and if you don't like it, try something else!

I'm 51 yrs old and have worked at a wide variety of jobs including realtor, insurance sales, EMT, medicare claims processor, relief manager in an alcohol/drug rehab, jailor, assembly line worker, cheese factory worker, nurses aide, home health aide, and so on. NOW I'm just starting work as a bank teller supervisor. My point is, that if you keep your mind open and look around, you can test the waters and by trial and error, find something you enjoy.

I would like to think I'll retire out of the bank I work at, but considering that's about 15 years away, I sure can't guarantee it! No way did I expect to end up doing most of the jobs I've had until the opportunity presented itself and I just decided to give it a try. Don't think of looking for your "forever job" just yet; rather look for what suits your needs now and deal with the future when it arrives.
