You're better off doing it today - it's going to be hotter tomorrow through Saturday!

I hope they come out nice.

I so hate any kind of yard work. Glad you got your plants, now make sure you drink lots of water while you are out in the heat!

we'll it took me amost 3 hours of digging, soil, and mulching but got most of it done, i ran out of mulch and need two more flowers to complete it, going back to Lowes and see if they have anything orange color, the japanses maples look so nice i spaced them out and put knock out roses in between them, but i hope i dug the hole big enough they said on the direction to dig the hole five times bigger. i tryed to dig it as big as i could but that ground was so hard. so i hope they live!
i couldn't believe how expensive they were and i got them 20% off and they were still 60.00 each.. WOW...
Going to look at some dwarf daylilies hopefully they have a nice orange color, running up at lunch time.

Sounds great Haley! It's amazing what some landscaping can do for a home!
We planted a bunch of trees last year and the year before, and you're right, they need to be watered thoroughly every day for the first year at least to get established.
We planted, evergreens, Oak, maple, and weeping willows. So far they're all doing well.

Tink i love maple trees and wheeping willows, i'm trying to find a wheeping willow tree but lowes is out of them until fall, and i also like maple trees but my yard is so small. don't have room for one. i need a couple of more flowers and some mulch and i'll be done until lowes or a nursery around my area get a wheeping willow tree in. it does look nice, so glad its almost done.... it took 5 years, but there was alot of inside work that needed to be done first...

It sounds wonderful, hope you take pics! The price of flowers and bushes is unbelievalbe. My son just did his Eagle Scout project which was building a butterfly garden. He collected $500 to purchase plants and we still put money to it. He couldn't believe what everything cost.

It really is better to plant trees in the fall anyway Haley, early fall. Seems the summer heat can hurt them a lot more than the winter freeze. Just pile mulch up around them before winter to help keep them warm. We have maple trees and blue spruce evergreens. We use to have a beautiful willow tree, but the wind blew it down, barely missed the pool when whe had it. We also had a corkscrew willow, but the poor thing died. Not sure why.
