Tough Love vs. Spanking

Most of America's populace think it is improper to spank children,
so I have tried other methods to control my kids when they have one of "those moments."

One that I found effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk.

They usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our car ride together.

I've included a photo below of one of my sessions
with my son, in case you would like to use the technique.

one time when i was a teenager me and my mom got into a HUGE fight and i jumped out of the car when she pulled over and she LEFT me there!!! she told me years later she had driven down the road and parked in somebody's driveway where she knew i couldn't see her and watched me for about twenty minutes. the shock value of her actually leaving me stranded out on the road was enough to make me say yes maam, no maam, and be a perfect little angel for about two weeks!!!

Yes, I think you're right - mine would enjoy it too much and would see no "punishment" from it! Oldest one would love to be on Fear Factor and the youngest fears nothing!!
