I hate to post a sad thread after just making the "positive" thread, but I'm really pretty upset and I wanted to tell you about it. Today, Brendon woke up with a small rash on his arm. It was weird, but nothing we thought we should worry about. Well, around 3 he came home from class and the rash had spread from just a small place on his arm to completely covering both of his arms and most of his stomach. Poor guy was itching like crazy! Well, we immediately took him to the clinic on campus to get it checked out because we had been at Mom's house just last night and we were scared to death it might be contagious. We didn't want Mom to come in contact with anything that might hurt her during the chemo since it can be very dangerous for her to get any kind of infection or illness. After being seen by practically every nurse and nurse practitioner at the clinic they decided that they "THINK" it's an allergic reaction. To what, they have absolutely no idea. They also said it could be a viral infection, but that it's not as likely since he has no other symptoms (sore throat, temperature, the usual stuff that accompanies a virus). But since it's a possibility, neither Brendon and I can see Mom until it's cleared up and been gone for a few days. We don't want to risk making her sick. I hate not being able to see her, especially now when she's going through so much. I want to be there for her...
