Internet porn

Do you consider viewing internet porn as cheating? Why or why not?

To me, it is a form of cheating. I got rid of our first computer because of it. He would look at porn and stopped having sex with me...his wife. It took a few years before we got another computer and I have parental controls on him to keep him from going back there.

Exclamation Don't even get me started on this issue lol

Absolutely yes I do consider it cheating. I think it is pure BS and it makes me absolutely furious. I have my own computer, and my husband has his own computer. They are in the same room though and are right beside each other. We both need our own computers for work purposes. He thinks I don't know squat about them, when I in fact know alot more than he thinks I do. I have found one thing on his computer before, and I reamed his @$$ for it. I can not help but blow up at this when he knows how much this bothers me. I have told him that if I ever catch anything like this again, the computers will be out of here in a split second, whether they are needed for work or not. I refuse to put up with that crap. We had a loooooooong talk about this one night. And when I say long, I mean hours. I told him that after a talk like that, if he ever did it again, he was extremely brave. And no I was yelling at him. Well ok, at first I was, but after that we calmly talked and I told him that I felt very disrespected and very hurt, and that it was very selfish of him to do such a thing when he knows how much this bothers me. I know he loves me, he shows me that in so many ways. But you shouldn't do something that you know will hurt the one you love. Hopefully he thinks twice next time. I haven't found anything since..

To me internet porn is totally disgusting! Here we get sex shows and all that crap on TV late at night, it makes me sick, it's cheap and disrespectful, bad taste and totally fake!
My husband doesnt use the computer, but if he did and i found things like that on here, he would have to deal with me!!

This is a good question you brought up. Honestly it depends on each marriage I guess. Does the internet porn take away from the marriage? Does it make the wife feel less as a woman? So on and so on...

My husband does not get on the computer for internet porn. However he does look at Playboy which doesn't bother me. In fact, I usually read a few issues and glance at the pictures before he does.

If he did decide to get online and check out the porn Id probably question it but I doubt Id get upset unless it got in the way of "us".

My husband is his own person as I am my own. We each have our own likes/dislikes. I feel each of us should be allowed to express or fill our own needs as we wish as long as it doesn't hurt our relationship or become disrespectful towards one another.

What works for one marriage may not work for another.

I really don't know what I think about it. I can't say my husband doesn't look at porn b/c I'm not that nieve (sp?) but as far as I know he doesn't. I know I wouldn't want him to look at it and I would be VERY upset if I found out he did. I thinks it's really disrespectful and degrading to a girlfriend or wife. But, I'm not sure if I would consider it cheating. Maybe I would change my mind and consider it cheating if I ever actually have to deal with this.

Years ago, hubby used to get Playboy and yes, I would read the articles (they really do have some good articles in there!). He hasn't gotten it since the boys were born. As for porn, he's never deliberately pulled it up and looked at it. Back when we first got our computer, we found out the hard way when doing a search on one of the search engines you have to be careful what you type in to search for.....sometimes a porn site would pop up!! We put the parental controls on because of the boys - and us!! Do I view it as cheating? I'm not sure. But what I am sure of is if it upsets one party and makes them uncomfortable, then the other party should respect them and not view it.

OMG! I would have had a fit! My husband use to read Easy Rider (I belive) magazine...about motorcycles and they would have half nude women on these bikes. I said NO MORE and canceled his subscription.

I don't agree with internet porn. It was an issue for me that made me develope a very low opinion of myself, especially when my ex preferred it over me. It replaced us.

OUCH!! I'm sorry to hear that.
I don't think many marriages could survive if internet porn replaces each other!

If internet porn is used "one on one" it's definatly cheating!! IMO

Wow! I couldn't have said it better myself! I agree 110%!!!!! I know my hubby does not look at dirty magazines, but I am honestly not sure if he looks at Internet porn or not. Our marriage is A-Ok at this point, so I don't have any desire to go snooping around on his computer to find out if he's looking at it or not. BUT, if our marriage is ever affected because of it, I will absolutely consider it cheating. BUT, that could be anything in my opinion. Some husbands cheat on their wives with the golf course......
