Good News Yorkie....

Hi guys. Janet I got the Yorkie boy this morning. I could not leave him there. I'm glad I did too. I went unannounced with $300 in my hand and she took it. He was living in this tiny little carrier with no food or water. When I got him out of the house I gave him a bowl of water and a bowl of food and he drank two bowls of water and scoffed down the food. You can feel every bone in his body. He's also very submissive. Very scared of hands and of the girls (my yorkies). They had a pit bull and a boxer that didn't seem to like him much and a 4 yr. old that was terrorizing him. I gave him a bath and I'm going to trim him and then post some pictures. Do you know when I took him into my yard and let him down he did not even know how to run. He crawled on his belly and at first his back seemed arched but then after a while when he straightened up he was fine. He could not stand up in the little carrier they kept him in and he could not even turn around. It was terrible. He's 6 months old by the way. And, my only issue is he wants to hump the girls and is always sniffing their butts. Do you think that will stop once he's neutered. He's scheduled for the 22nd. Elaine

I'm so glad you took him Elaine! That's great of you to rescue him from such a terrible situation. It makes me so upset that people treat animals like that. I'm sure he'll have a wonderful life with you!

Elaine..that is wonderful. He has an angel in you to free him from that horrible life with those people. They must be insane!!! You'll want to feed him slower...don't let him scarf everything everytime he eats or he may get sick.

I can't wait until you post the pictures Elaine...I'm so anxious to see this little guy. Did they have any papers for him at all? Know who the breeder may be? Now that he is out and safe...you may want to call and ask some questions.

Once he's neutered his behavior may change, but there is no guarantee. I would probably keep him in an x-pen or something and let him smell the girls that way (just getting to know them), but it will also keep him from humping them so much. Poor guy obviously has had no socialization skills taught to him so it will be up to you.

Elaine..you may have to keep him for a little while unless you turn him over to rescue. If he's not house trained, or use to peoples hands ...etc...humping,....he could end up in the same situation you saved him from.

I think it's so wonderful you got him out of there.

I am glad you got this sweet boy. Those people should be in jail for that. Most of them stop humping after they get fixed. It may take a while for all testosterone to get out of his system though.

I can't wait to see pictures. Be sure to get him to your vet and have him checked.

Here He is.

Alright. Got the pictures done. Nothing fancy as it took me two hours to cut the matts out of him. He was matted head to toe, and filthy. She must have sprayed stuff on him last night because I don't remember him being this bad but then again I wasn't there that long - just long enough to know it wasn't good. He still needs more grooming. He has matts down to his skin that I have to shave but he's petrified of the noises and did not even know what a brush was or the bath but did pretty well. Ahhh, where to begin. Well, he has no clue that he should not crap or pee in his bed. I guess because he was never let out of there so he just goes and then that's it. I've been taking him in and out to potty and he has gone outside but he'll also take a crap on you too if he's laying on you and has to go. I've got my work cut out that's for sure. He sits very quiet in the crate has no conception of being out of it really. Very sad. When he is out he cries as if he's scared. He's learning what grass is. I actuallly got him to run a little outside but he's petrified of the ball. He's also very timid with the girls. Of course Tia ia s little Bi...tch and will put her gums up at him if he dares sniffs her petutie. And then we have Lilly who is a ahhh how do you say it - well anyway, she rolls over and just lets him put his nose wherever. Hubby is getting used to it. Was actually really upset to see how he was. I think last night he thought I was b.s.ing him otherwise he would have been with us last night. He does not know waht a cookie (treat) is but is learning fast. LOL. I have him on Canidae puppy and he seems to love it - then again I think he'd eat anything you gave him. He cries when you touch his feet. Not sure why but I think maybe the kid must have pulled him around by then and that's when he was let out. And, his collar on his neck (I have to take a picture) was all bitten and checked like the big dogs were grabbing him. He now has a nice blue harness. They called him Beans. Not sure I like the name or not but also not sure I want to name him or he may end up staying which by the way is a def. possibility. Janet, I have no intention on adopting him out right away. I have an appt. for a neuter on the 22 nd at our local shelter $90 I was thrilled since my vet charges $350. He does have a very very good disposition by the way especially with all he's been through. And, he's become my shadow. If I walk he walks if I stop he stops right by my feet and does not move. And, I was surprised he LOVES my two sons. Of course they are very very good with him too so that helps. Anyway, he is pictures. You can't see it but the carrier was FILTHY and he has FILTHY toys (2) inside. The size of the carrier was the smallest version it was 17x12x9. I have not weighed him yet but he's slightly bigger then Lilly in size so I'm thinking maybe 4-5 lbs. and he's six months old. The breeder by the way is from North Carolina. I'm going to google her and see if I can get info. May have come from a mill Elaine
