SO weird!
I've always been overweight. I'm hypothyroid which decreases metabolism. I have arthritis and coronary artery disease which have made me less active than I used to be... But lately I'm losing weight!
I worked for the past 7 yrs online, so was very sedate. Now 6 days a week I'm walking 2 blocks to the post office, walk a couple blocks to get our lunch, and am on my feet much of the day working in the bank. It seems to be helping! I hadn't even noticed until I started seeing my clothes hanging on me. When I stepped on the scale, I found I'm down 10 lbs in the past month; to just 2 lbs more than I was when I became pregnant with my first child 33 years ago! I just wish I hadn't been overweight already then! I'm just thrilled and shocked. I had to share! LOL

WOW, guess I'm gonna have to get off my butt and start walking.
Congratulations on the weight loss. I am so envious right now!!! I know what my problem is...I like to sew.....so I sit, I like watching some shows.......so I sit, I "have" to be on YT and 4WT.... so I sit. I am going to make a better effort to get on the tread mill. I take meds for my hypothryroidism too and just had it checked. It's in the normal range. Even though I'm glad about that...I also wanted an excuse!! Shame on me. I just need to be more active, but it will have to be on the treadmill I guess, because I hate being out in the cold.

Thanks ladies! I hope it keeps going down. I would LOVE to lose about 50 more lbs. It sucks being overweight in general, but for health reasons it could really be a good thing to get more of this weight off.
Janet, since I went on thyroid meds several years ago, I've lost about 52 lbs. My dr said most don't get that big a result, but mine was SO out of wack that I had a lot of weight gain from it I guess. Now that I'm back to where I was at age 18, I half expect to plateau out soon. It seems too often we have a "set" weight that our body likes to stay at, and I'm not thrilled at the prospect of staying this heavy if I can avoid it.

I've been on Thyroid meds for a few years and have not lost any because of them. I gained a lot when I was in my 30's from fertility drugs and shots. Really made me gain then. I've just decided that after the holidays I will start back with Weight Watchers and get off my fat a$$!!!!!
