Spring Break is Over... :(

*This is not really a vent, but I thought it fit in this category more than the others.*

So I've been off for a week and now I have to go back to school on Monday. I wish I had just a few more days off. It's been so relaxing and refreshing. I think I really needed the break this time. Oh well, only seven more weeks and then Summer Break!

Anyone else dreading Monday?

Heck, I didn't even know spring break began, let alone ended. No break here on our end. BUMMER!

But, glad you got some time off finding it relaxing and refreshing! Good for you!

Oh, and I dread EVERY Monday!!

Our Spring Break doesn't start here until March 19th. We're not doing anything special so I'm just looking forward to having my daughters (#2 and #3) home for the week. My husband is getting busy with field work so no vacations until August! Sometimes I would really love for him to have an 8 to 5 job and weekends free!!!

OUr spring break is the last week of this month. I can't wait and I don't think the bus kids can either. We don't do anything special, because hubby still has to work, but my son and I get a lot of things accomplished and have some fun too.

Once spring break is over, then we'll be on the downslide of school being out for the summer.

What kind of field work does your husband do? That sounds interesting. Only one more week until your spring break!

My husband is a farmer. We don't have any animals but only grow crops. Right now he's spreading fertilizer to get ready to plant corn. Besides corn, we also grow soybeans, milo (aka grain sorghum), and wheat. When he starts working ground I help out by driving the tractor and at harvest I help by driving the combine. We're not rich people but farming has been a good living for us and for raising our children.

If you ever come through Kansas stop by and ride in the tractor or see what's going on. If you're not used to being around this kind of work it's really interesting.

Oh that's cool! I thought you meant field work as in internship. That's what we call at in my department at school, field study. hehe. But farm work has always been intriguing to me. I've only been on a farm a few times in my life. My cousin's wife's family (if that's not confusing, lol!) runs a tobacco farm and I used to hang out there when I was little.

I don't think I'll be around Kansas anytime soon, but if I am, I'll be sure to let you know! I'd love to meet some 4wt'ers!
