Makes Me So Angry!!!
Yesterday, on Montel Williams (I wasn't watching, the TV was on that channel) I heard them talking about December 2012 (you can google this) and they were talking about how it will be the end of the world as we know it. Some calendar only goes this far...scientist say the solar flare-up from the sun will cause horrific damage...etc.
What makes me angry is IF there were any children at home and could understand what they were saying. How frightening for them. It just makes me so angry that they talk about these things and don't really take into consideration the ages that could possibly see this.

Good Lord! I agree Janet.
I missed the show....probably a good thing cuz it would have just made me mad, anxious, sad, frustrated, confused, etc. .... And well, I don't need anymore of those feelings in my life right now, got enough.

I'm with ya there, Sheryl. But not only the younger children, but if my son (age 16) would have seen it, he is so sensitive, he would have been bothered and scared thinking he was going to die in 5 years.
I just think it was soooo irresponsible for them to air that.

Janet I agree with you, in todays society these poor kids have so much to worry about. They can't even go to school without worrying that some crazy student or students will go on a killing rampage. I feel for these kids....
Look what they said about 2000, it came in without any problems. They made a big deal over how things were going to effect us, due to computers not recognizing the calendar year etc.. I agree with you ladies they should sensor these programs from being aired. They are in it for ratings, so they don't care. I believe that God will lead us into the right direction and place my faith in him. |

That's awful! Doesn't that show come on in the afternoon right after kids get home from school? Around 4? I can't believe they would say stuff like that when it could scare kids so easily!
Anytime there's a new "end of the world" prediction, I just try to remember Nostradamus's 1999 prediction and of course, Y2k. Nothing even vaguely exciting happened for either of those or the other hundreds of dooms day predictions. The Mayan calendar is pretty cool though. I think they simply didn't need to go that much further into the future, or they were overrun by enemies before they finished...they were carving this information into stones after all...

Good grief!!! What were they thinking, sending out somthing like that on TV when kids are still awake! Anyhow, i find it ridiculous to show something like that on TV. There are many grown ups who cant handle the thought of the "world coming to an end"
I dont know how it was in US with millenium (2000) over here it was bad, things they said than too, the world was coming to an end, planes wouldnt be able to fly that night, and next day etc etc - there was a whole lot more, but cant remember most of them. What frustrates me, is that they make people anxious, and frightened with those statements.
