I don't make homemade chili. I buy that McCormick's packet. It's soooooo easy! Brown meat, drain, add the packet and beans and you're good to go!

Sheryl,

I'm gonna have to try your recipie - YUM!!! Mine is REALLY easy!!

I take 2 pounds of ground venison (you can use beef or turkey)
2 cans of Ranch Style Beans
2 green bell peppers chopped
1 large onion chopped
2 packets of Bayou Magic Chili Season Mix
1 can diced tomatoes

Brown the meat, drain, and put in large pot. Chop the bell peppers and onions and add to pot with the season mix and diced tomatoes. Add water to cover and bring to a boil. Once it comes to a boil, turn heat down and let simmer for about an hour - let those seasonings mix with the meat.

Serve in a bowl, top with shredded cheddar cheese, and serve with cornbread. Now I can't WAIT for cold weather to make some chili!!!!!

We do chili with ground hamburger meat...I know...plain jane!

Brown 2 lbs of hamburer meat, drain and set aside.

Use about a tablespoon of veg oil, add 1 tablespoon of crushed garlic, one small onion chopped and cook till tender.

Add hamburger meat, 2 tablespoons chili powder, 2 small cans tomato sauce, 1 can of crushed tomatoes, salt & pepper (to taste) and 3 tablespoons of sugar. If you want beans, add 1 can (drained)

Heat to boil and turn to low. Cover and simmer.

If you like it really hot, add 1/2 jabenero pepper.

Simmer about 1 - 1 1/2 hours on low. Add about 2 tablespoons of tomato paste and mix well.
