Foliage

On my way home from work today I noticed a lot of the trees already have a little bit of color in them. I think we're going to have an early foliage season. Someone else I know was also saying that she has some color around her also.

Do any of you live in good foliage areas? I know in New Hampshire, busloads of people from around New England come to see it.

No fall foliage here, I live in central Texas where our leaves die a brown death of old age in December . One year though, I had a conference in Boston the first weekend in Oct. We rented a car and drove to Concord, Salem and on to New Hampshire. We visited Walden's Pond, and I have NEVER EVER in my life seen such beautiful foilage!! OMG! It was just spectacular.

I have wanted to return ever since - but I'm a school teacher so going anywhere (except for the weekend) in Sept/Oct. is just not feasible.

Dobie,

Our leaves don't normally start changing till middle of September. But we've had a very dry summer and so some of the leaves are falling because it's so dry.
But on a good year our leaves look beautiful. Red's, Oranges & yellows.
Fall will be here before we know it.

A few of our trees look like they are strying to turn. I bet it is just gorgeous your way in the fall! I can't wait for it to get here. I love that time of year with all the colors! We have a train that will take you through the mountains in West Virginia.. You get to see the Eagles in the spring and the foliage in the fall so I hope the colors are bright this year!

Since I live in the same state as 2tiredmom (Linda) my answer is the same as hers...LOL. Everything is so dry. I get home from the bus route and my head starts aching. I drive so many gravel roads and all that dust is killing my sinuses.
