Christmas ideas!
I just got this email.
My dear friends & family Somewhat embarrassing to admit, Christmas is tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for you all as gifts. Please let me know your sizes. You'll most likely agree that it's a splendid idea, and should you wish to do the same, I've included the instructions below. How to make bedroom slippers: You need four maxi pads to make a pair. Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part. The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top. Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part. Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is most aesthetically appealing), etc. These slippers are: * Soft and Hygienic * Non-slip grip strips on the soles * Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh * No more bending over to mop up spills * Disposable and biodegradable * Environmentally safe * Three convenient sizes: (1.) Regular, (2.) Light and (3.) Get out the Sand Bags. I've attached a photo of the first pair I made so that you can see the nifty slippers for yourself.... Awaiting your response. It's crucial that I get the right size for each one of you. So please hurry I need to start them as soon as possible.

I wonder if you could sew them together and make a hat out of them? That would be nice and warm for the winter.

I would but I don't need them anymore so I don't have any extra laying around the house. But you did just give me an idea. We love to play jokes on each other at work and this is the giving season right. I may just have to go out and buy a
box and make some slippers or a hat. The girls at work gave me a care package when I was off work for surgery. That's one of the things I could use some of craft things on. OH THANK YOU for that Idea.......................LOL

Maybe you know it by another name.
Everyone that comes to the Christmas party brings a gift (usually about $20 limit) - then everyone pics a number. #1 pics a gift and unwraps it, that person is now done to the very end of the game. #2 pics a gift and unwraps, they have the choice of keeping it or trading with #1 for gift. Number 3 unwraps and can keep her pick from 1 or 2. This goes down the line until everyone unwraps and swaps at the end - at that point, #1 gets to pick from all of the gifts. It's a lot of fun - usually there are 1 or 2 gifts that everyone wants that gets swapped around, and people swap with each other just to keep a preferred item from someone. There's a lot of teasing and good natured banter back and forth. |
