Barn Bash 2009
We're planning our Barn Bash for the last weekend in May, and this year I'm taking all my doggies. Last year, I paid a neighbor teenager to care for them. Hubby and I always get the cottage at my son's house and it has a good fence around it, so I'm going to take them and pray for no disasters. I know I'll end up keeping them in crates most of the time.
This is going to be loads of fun, with family, friends, neighbors, even co-workers. We're getting a bigger pig this year and will probably end up renting a camper sleeper. Heck, there's 18 just counting hubby, me, kids+, and g-kids. Then, there's the in-laws, my sister+, cousins, neighbors. I'm counting probalby 80 people to be there, hopefully not all at the same time! Hubby will drive his truck with doggie crates and pull a trailer with 4-wheelers. I'll drive my Tahoe with doggies and there will be groceries and stuff stashed in every corner. I usually shop here and transport it, so I have more visiting time there.

It's something Jeff wanted to start. Last year, it was just our little immediate family, his MIL and FIL, and his closest friend Wade +2 kiddos. So, it's not actually our family reunion as in blood relatives, but since some of the friends have been around for 20+ years we feel like they are family (some are Godparents to our g-kids).
This year, he's inviting the world - COME ON OVER. Last year, we had a 39# pig. We'll need a much bigger one this year, maybe from the 4H Club auction tomorrow night. My g-daughter, Christian, is showing her pig (BonBon) tomorrow night.

I'm taking 6 doggies - the 5 Yorkies and 1 ShihTzu. We don't travel much and they are usually good on trips.
