English not American Bulldog
I just learned yesterday that I was wrong about the type of bulldog that Melissa and Garrett have. It's English, not American. There is supposed to be a big difference between the breeds. American is more like a pit bull. English is your traditional bulldog like in the old cartoons. It's still being quite a mess. I carry Zoe around in the crook of my arm most of the time when I'm home to protect her from Mack (the bulldog). Chase spends much of his time in the bedroom of off in a corner somewhere. Mack is still as clumbsy and lovable as ever, and we are all working on the playful biting.
During the day when we are out and about, Mack stays in the laundry room behind a baby gate and seems fairly content there, so the Yorkies get to run free for a while. We're making it, but it will be good when the kids get settled in their own place.

That does make it kinda' difficult with your yorkies. It sounds like you've got a plan that's working though. I hope that everything works out well in this move for Melissa and Garrett.

I'm sorry having Mack around makes things difficult for the puppies. Hopefully Melissa and Garrett will find a place soon. Do you have any photos?

They have wonderful, gentle temperaments! They are very different from the American Bulldogs. They are known to be extremely gentle and great with children. They need a lot of love from their family too. They're faithful, stubborn, pretty good guard dogs, they drool and make a mess when they drink, and they are known to snore.
It is a wonderful, loving breed. How about some more puppy pictures?

You are right about making a mess when they drink. It's more like splashing than drinking. All that loose skin flopping around and then he dribbles water all over the floor. And he does snore. He'll fall asleep anywhere in most any position, and starts snoring almost right away. He's so cute!!!
