Busy morning!
I woke up about the same time I usually do, about 5:30 and drank my coffee, watched the news and weather. Then about 7:00, I got busy. Grooming 5 dogs takes so much time especially if I waited an extra week to do it. The need trimmed up so bad. I keep mine in long coat so when it's all stringy looking, it drives me insane...lol.
I do enjoy it the one on one time with them though. It took me until about 1:15 PM to get them all done. I did take my time since they needed it so badly. Now they look so good and smell great. They were all running around smelling each other ...they like the clean smell too.

Your babies are all so darn cute! You do a wonderful job of keeping them in long coat. A lot of work to maintain.
Take a break now and sleep in in the morning! |

I know you are glad to have that done. My brother has 2 schnauzers and I groom them when I groom my Layni. It's easier to do them all at once when all my junk is dragged out I can't imagine doing 5!! It makes my back hurt just thinking about it, lol!!

Wow Janet.. all 5 of them! You ladies need to give me some tips on grooming. My sister is really good at it, but we live 2 hrs apart. So I take mine to the groomer and it is certainly not cheap. I bath them in between grooming but leave the trimming to the pros. I'm afraid I'll poke them in the eye or something. Brutis will absolutely not be still either. How do you get them to be still?

I don't worry about getting a back ache...lol. I have a card table that I put a none skid pad on and then sit and groom. It's the perfect height. I also have to of the grooming arms if I need them. Usually I do with Fancy, but she did great this time...I was shocked.
It is much easier than dragging the tools out all the time. I try to groom the dogs on a Saturday or Sunday because it does take some time. If it's just a bath and trimming of the ears and feet it doesn't take near as long. I would be glad to offer any tips I can, but it would probably be hard to explain by typing. Why don't you all just pick a day and come on over....we could have a party afterwards.
