Poetry
Does any one dabble in poetry? I have wrote many. Just curious if any one else likes to write it also. I normally write when I'm down or when I want to share my feelings with my friends. I have a friend turning 80 this coming weekend and I am
writing one for here. I wrote her one when she retired and her husband had it framed.

I use to write poems all the time. When my nieces were younger I would write poems for them and wrote a beautiful poem (if i do say so myself) for my Mom and she had it framed. I haven't wrote any for awhile, but I write about anything and everything, but mostly about people in my lfe.

I only wrote poems when it was required in English class during school. Other than that, no, I haven't. My older brother writes poetry (very beautiful poetry if I do say so myself!) and has even had one published!
My dream is to write a book - but I never seem to have time to sit down, compile my thoughts into what I'd like to write about, and begin my research and start writing. One day - I might get started.

I've always thought about writing a book myself. Instead...I keep a journal and have for years and years. Sometimes I go back and read and think....why would I let something like that bother me or I must've been nuts....LOLOL It will give future generations (if there are any) something to read and laugh about.

I used to write poetry many many years ago. But not anymore. I used to keep journals many many years ago also. But not anymore.
Well, I do keep one journal now. Just daily stuff on my young horse. Mainly just for training purposes though. Now, all the poetry and journals are in my mind, rewinding to play over and over again or just adding to it. I pray that as I become elderly that I just don't lose my mind. It will be such a sad day to lose all my memories of songs, poetry, stories, etc. Those words that play in my mind keep me going most days!
