My Washer Quit!!!!
Seems like lately all I do is complain...but hey....MY WASHER QUIT WORKING!!
I just get so annoyed at all these inconveniences. I had two loads left to do, my whites and then hubby's work clothes. The whites are in and the spin cycle won't work now. So...there they sit in the water. I called the repair people and they can come on Tuesday, but can't not give me a time. I told them I drive a bus and they can only come during the middle of the day, perferrably around 9 am or before 1 PM and they can't guarantee any time. So as of right now they are scheduled to come next Saturday (the 4th) and that is when Izzie will be going to her new home. I called another this morning and they don't work on Whirlpools, so I'm waiting on 9 AM to get here so I can call another. Keep your fingers crossed they can come today or the first of the week. Don't these little tribulations just drive you nuts????

I know how you feel. I had trouble (not too long ago) with my washer AND dryer. My husband is Mr. Fix-it and it saves us a lot of money not having to have a repairman come, but he always has to get to it in his own time. I spent weeks driving to my daughter's house to do the washing (thankfully she lives close by) before he got it fixed. Then on the dryer I went to an auction and got another dryer similiar to ours for $10 (we use a gas dryer, not electric). It sat outside all summer before he finally got it in. They really need replaced but he refuses to let them die!!
Good luck in finding someone who can fix it. I'd send my husband over but it might be January before he could get to it!!! LOL

We must have married brothers....LOL I've got someone coming on Tuesday at 10 AM so that will work out great. Now it will probably cost me an arm and a leg and I will post AGAIN in the vent forum... Oh well...it's only money and we can't take it with us!!!

At least your husband will let you call a repairman. Mine won't even let me think about it.
If the repairman gets it repaired on Tuesday it will be worth the money!!! Believe me!!

If he thinks I'll haul everything to a laundry mat he's nuts. I just wish it was fixed now....I'm so impatient when it comes to this sort of thing.

Welcome to my life! I've had soooo much trouble with my washer since I moved into this place, and the landlady just keeps telling me to call and get it fixed. A couple weeks ago I called again and they came by last week and told me they would give her a call because either she replaces the washer or replaces everything inside of it. I was assuming she would call me and say what was going on, but NOPE! I'm taking like 10 loads of stuff to a laundromat today, which is a HUGE inconvenience because I have so much homework and report-writing to do, on top of cleaning the rest of the house!

that dang spin cycle...just kick the sh*t out of it Janet!!! my spin cycle doesn't work either plus the rinse cycle doesn't work so i have to put my load on wash twice to get the soap out...i always have to wash it in a small load cycle or it won't spin worth a fart. i'm gonna complain about some of my broke stuff...... my hubby's taking our intrepid to work...went to get in it to go offshore thursday and it wouldn't start...and i told him there wasn't no way in hell he was leaving me at home with two dtrs. with a broken down car while he was driving around in his new truck. then last night when i went to feed Pudge i noticed that our 100 year old sassafrass tree was leaning on our shed-which has our riding mower, push mower, and two years worth of seasoned firewood that I cut and stored plus a lot of other gardening stuff. This tree is HUGE!!! plus we have electricity in the shed and the wire is hooked to our main fuse box. It turns out that the rain which has been really bad has made the ground so soft that the roots are snapping and the tree is leaning over bad...you can actually hear it groaning. so the tree has to be cut down cuz if it falls it will take out our shed, our dog pen, house and run, plus it will fall across the road and take down power lines and phone lines for the whole neighborhood and it could pull our fuse box off the side of the house which could cause our house to catch on fire or hit another tree next to it which is also next to our propane tank. i called the electricity coop and they said they would send somebody out to look at it eventually but for us not to worry about it. so far nobody from the elec. coop has showed up or called or anything. my hubby had some of his friends come look at it this morning and everybody agrees that it should be cut down. It is my favorite tree on our land and i was hoping they could trim off some of the heaviest branches and figure out a way to shore it back up but it is not looking good. this is one of the largest sassafrass trees in the state and it is very beautiful....why couldn't it have been a old ratty tree instead of my favorite??? that tree was one of the main reasons we bought this house...boo hoo
