So Mad
My daughter has a problem in her room at school, she cant prove it but she thinks that her roomate has stolen an $100 bill that I had given her for her tutor. Now she is missing clothes a velour express joggin outfit, and two sweaters. Her roomate was with her last year, this year she has changed towards my daughter and is hardly staying with my daughter at the dorm. She goes to sleep over her bfs. My daughter text messaged her and asked her if she accidently took her clothes. Her roomie never answered.. I am getting really pissed, my daughter locks up her good bags and stuff, she can't accuse her of stealing. Who else would go into her dorm. How would you handle this. It is very upsetting...

I think everything that can be locked up should be. Can she put a lock on her closet? If all else fails, I think I'd have to go thru the roommates things and "repossess" my belongings when she wasn't there. Then make sure to wear something I repossessed in front of her so she'd know that I know.
Does that make sense? |

Kim yes it does, but I am afraid that she is taking the clothes home with her when she leaves for weekend. It s not in room, but I will mention it to my daughter to look in the girls closet. The closet has no doors so they can't lock it.. Right now she is studying for her finals and she can't make herself to upset over this. I will definetly mention it before Christmas break.. Thanks! |

Oh that is terrible!! I would be mad too!
If she finds any of her things in with the roommates do you think she should confront her then? |

How about changing roommates over the Christmas holiday?? It would be worth it to move if it is possible, and since the girl is seldom around anyway. Just a thought.

How about those quilted clothes closets that stand alone and zip all the way around? Maybe she (or you) could invest in one and get maybe her father or someone to rig the zipper with a lock. If there's room for one in her dorm room a stand alone closet would be the best way to go, even if it was like one of those metal ones that look like lockers. I think you can order them from J C Penney. Anything is better than being stolen from. (Just an idea for the future) That way she could put anything she wanted to in it and lock it. Maybe even set it in the closet that has no doors! |
