Mama had a wreck
If anybody read my other thread, you know I've been worried about Mama wearing herself out trying to help out with a terminally ill cousin and another who died. The cousin who's terminally ill went to hospice yesterday and this morning Mama took Daddy's pickup truck to go to the cousin's mother's house to help her. Well, it rained all day yesterday and on the way, the truck hit a wet patch, fish tailed, and went into a stone wall. Mama swears she's ok, and refused to go to the hospital to be checked out. She's more upset about the truck because Daddy got it from my late husband and it meant a lot to Daddy. I've been gone all morning checking on both of them and the truck. The suspension, drive train, and front end frame were completely torn out of the truck and the front end is crumpled. It's completely totaled. It's a miracle Mama had on her seatbelt and wasn't injured. She won't slow down right now, but she's going to be so sore tomorrow that she won't be able to move. Please pray for her. She's burning the candle at both ends. Kim |

Will do Kim...prayers being said. Maybe if she keeps moving she won't be near as sore. I bet it scared the dickens out of her. It sounds as if she really does need to slow down a bit on trying to take care of everyone. Maybe she's afraid if she's too idle, she'll have to much time to think. I'll keep her in my prayers Kim.

thanks, Janet. I looked at the truck and if she hadn't had her seat belt on, she'd have be thrown through the windshield. My son and I stayed with her for a while, but she insisted that Daddy take her to the cousin's funeral at 2:00 today.
She hit a 5 ft stone wall in front of a Dr's office head on. It's just a miracle she walked away. She wasn't speeding or anything, she just hit a wet patch of cement and lost control. She's not used to driving the truck, but a relative had her car blocked and the truck was free. I'm sitting here shaking. I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to her. |

So sorry to hear this happened to your mom. She will probably be so sore tomorrow. Hope she can get some rest. Perhaps she will slow down a little since she may not have a vehicle for a while.
Will keep you and her in my prayers.

Kim, how is your mother doing today? No matter what, I would try and convince to see her Doctor. Hope she's not too sore, although I'm sure she is a little. I'm thinking of her so please let us know how she is doing......

Thank you so much for checking! I checked earlier today and she's not even sore in the least. I couldn't believe it! She said when she lost control that she thought of a Psalm about being covered by feathers?!? I don't know which one it is, but it worked. She's just fine.
