It's gonna be a bad day!!
The other day we had heard some gurgleing in the sinks and toilets. To us here in the country, that means the septic is getting full. Well, IT IS FULL! Now we have to go through the process of having it pumped.
I got up this morning and walked in toilet water. What a wake-up!! You can tell it also backed up into both bathtubs. I hope we don't have to have a new one dug, it will cost bunches and bunches and I mean BUNCHES. Of course, my husband just left for work and is leaving it for me to deal with. Maybe if I'm lucky, while we're having it pumped, he'll fall in. One could only hope!!!

Oooooh, Janet, what a mess. I grew up in the country, and fortunately we never had that problem, but my father was a plumber by trade, so he probably knew what to do. Hope you don't have to put in a new system. Around here, the county has all kinds of regulations now, and you have to get an engineered system. There's quite a lot to it, and it is expensive. Back in the old days, everyone went by rule of thumb and put in what they thought would work. Not any more!!! Sincerely hope your fix is very simple!!

Ooohhhhh Noooooo Janet! I am living with my first septic tank ever now and that's always been a fear of mine. (over flowing)
I really don't know much about them. We are VERY careful about what we put down them. I don't understand why you would need a new or additonal tank?? Isn't it good enough just to get the one you have now pumped?? I remember visiting a friend in PA and her septic tank too was full and a mess. Oh the smell, the smell! It was disgusting to say the least. WOW - the things we deal w/ living in the country.

What a way to start your day Here's hoping there's nothing more that needs to be done than just pumping out your current system.

Janet, darn! This is NOT something you needed to wake up to this morning! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you don't have to get a new system dug. Keep us updated!
