My Husband's Sweet too!
Things haven't been going too well lately with my husband and me so when I went out of town for the weekend to visit family I left a book laying out called "The Five Love Languages" for my husband to read.
He's a very slow reader but finally he's made it to the point where he understands what some of the problem is. Anyway, he went out of town to a doctor's appointment and did a little shopping at Wal-mart and a farm store. When he got home he had a lot of little surprises for me! He got me a York Mint Patty because he thought that I really enjoyed them, a hummingbird feeder and food for it, and a small shovel to help me plant flowers. Also, he had made me a bouquet out of weeds and sprayed it with his aftershave!!! I'll post a picture of it because it was kinda' pretty! Then, since it had rained, he took me out to eat at our favorite restaurant where we ordered crab legs (yummy) and then we went to see "Pirates of the Carribbean III". It ended up the meal and movie didn't cost us anything. We had gift certificates from our birthdays for the restaurant and, since my son owns the theater, we didn't have to pay to get in. In reading the "The Five Love Languages" I felt that it really understood what I was feeling and I'm glad that it seems to be helping out. I highly recommend that everyone read this book because it can really help to understand our fustrations with other relationships.

Diana, I'm so glad the book helped and that he was willing to read it and act accordingly!
I think it's a good thing when we fertilize our relationships every once in a while to keep them interesting and growing.

Aww, Diana, what a sweet hubby you have! I'm so glad he did so many things to surprise you! Maybe you could do something special for him in return. I'm sure that would really make his day.
I've also read the Five Love Languages with my husband. We read it together before we got married and took the quizzes that tell you what your love language is. I think it has been a great asset to our marriage and I too recommend it for anyone!

That is the sweetest bouquet I think I've ever seen. It comes from the heart. I'm happy that you're feeling better about things. It really helps when they put forth an effort.
